We are very pleased and excited to announce the return of former New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels and Melbourne Aces professional pitcher, Brandon Stenhouse, as our specialist Junior Pitching coach for the 2024/25 season!
Brandon started his baseball adventure as a T-baller at Cheltenham in 2006 and quickly established himself as an energetic and competitive talent with selection to numerous Victorian Regional, Schoolboys, and other Victorian state age group teams.
In 2013 Brandon converted from a very good two-way player to a full-time “pitcher only”. This decision paid immediate dividends and later the same year he was selected to the Australian team for the U18 World Baseball Cup in Taiwan.
In 2014, after catching the eye of several MLB scouts with his impressive velocity and expected projection, Brandon signed to the world-famous New York Yankees.
In 2015 Brandon commenced his Rookie Ball season with the New York Yankees and later the same year made his debut for the Melbourne Aces.
The following year whilst still playing Rookie Ball for the New York Yankees, Brandon was selected to the Australian U23 side for the World Baseball Cup in Mexico.
In 2017 Brandon was released by the New York Yankees and was signed to the Los Angeles Angels. In Spring training Brandon suffered a serious injury to his shoulder bringing a premature end to a promising professional career.
Brandon strengthens our commitment to specialist coaching at junior level and is keen to impart his knowledge to the next generation of young Rustlers through a mix of “fun”, a focus on pitching mechanics, and arm care.
