This summer season we plan to offer the following programs:

• T-Ball – This is for kids who are new to baseball and/or under 9 years old.  We are considering moving T-Ball to Fridays when the Rookie  Ball competition is on so siblings of Rookie Ball players can participate.  Please answer below if moving T-Ball from Saturday to Friday would be favorable or not favorable.
• Rookie Ball on Friday nights for kids under 12 years old. This is a fun focused competition for kids who are developing their baseball skills
• Little League Minor (formerly called U12s Metro) on Friday evenings for players baseball age 8 to 11 in a regional competition run by Baseball Victoria (BV).  This is a competition to develop their baseball skills to get ready to play Little League Major.
• Little League Major (formerly called U12s State) on Sunday mornings for players baseball age 9 to 12.  This is a more serious competition run by BV for kids who already have a reasonable level of skill at baseball.
• Friday 50/70 (formerly called Intermediate) Friday nights for players baseball age 11 to 13.  This is a fun focused competition for kids who are developing their baseball skills along with more experienced players.
• Junior League (formally called U14s) on Sunday mornings for players baseball age 12 to 14. This is a more serious competition run by BV for kids who already have a reasonable level of skill at baseball.
• Senior League (formerly called U16s) on Sunday mornings for players baseball age 15 and 16.  This is a more serious competition run by BV for kids who already have a reasonable level of skill at baseball.

Come & Trys

• We will be having Come & Trys on 23 August and 30 August.  Flyer attached.  Please try to get a friend (or many) to come to our Come & Trys.

Cheltenham Junior Training schedule

• Pre-season training will run each Friday from 6^th September to 4^th October, 5:30-7:00pm
• Wednesday junior training will begin on 9^th October (time TBC, but probably 5:30-7pm)

Sunday Junior Competition Schedule

• First game 13 October
• Last weekend of games before Christmas will be 15 December
• Games resume on 2 February 2025
• Grand final game 9 March 2025

Additional Information

• We are seeking Junior coaches so please let us know if you are interested!
• We will have a parent information night in September at the club.
• We will also be putting on a basic scorers class over two nights in September, so be looking out for that announcement.

To assist with our planning, can you please promptly reply with the following information:

1. Is your child returning to baseball this summer?
2. Is your child interested in playing any of the following:
   • T-Ball on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings (dates TBD) – which is favorable?
   • Friday night Little League Minor?
   • Friday Rookie Ball?
   • Friday 50/70?
   • Sunday morning Little League Major?
   • Sunday morning Junior League?
   • Sunday morning Senior League?
3. Are you able to assist with any of the following job roles?

• Coach or Assistant Coach
• Team Manager
• Scorer
• Other (Canteen, setting up/packing up equipment, administration etc)
