VALE
KEVIN KNORR
It is with much sadness that we record the passing of Kevin Knorr on 21 June 2016 after a short illness.

Kevin was quality outfielder and one of our Club’s greatest hitters. He was an outstanding high average, power hitter who battered clean up for Old Cheltenham’s successful DBAA Grade teams
during to the decade leading up to the Amalgamation in 1972 and he was a regular member of DBA Representative sides and VPBL All Star teams. He continued to be a very successful hitter in the one season he played at the Division 1 level after the Amalgamation before his career was cut short by a knee injury sustained in an off season game jogging in from the outfield to take the mound as the Kevin’s playing abilities were recognized during our Centenary Celebrations with his selection in left field in our “Finest Fifty Players”. Kevin was a great person to have on your team and a real impact player.
Post game celebrations always included the question “And what did Knorry do today?” and you could be pretty sure there would be an interesting story involving a game changing extra base hit, a moon shot home run or some outrageous base running that usually turned out OK.Kevin was the son of Eric and Molly Knorr who were both Life Members of ourClub and foundation members of the Old Cheltenham Club.

Our deepest sympathy to his wife
Pat and family.
