VALE RALPH BAILEY
It is with much sadness that we record the passing of Ralph Bailey at 82, on 9 July 2016 after a long illness.
Ralph served as the Club’s Treasurer from 1975 to 1983 and was very active and strong force on the Committee as the Club struggled to survive without a permanent home ground or specialist facilities at the old Gasworks site. Ralph’s professional acumen and leadership played a key part in the negotiations that led to the relocation to our current home at the Kingston
Heath Reserve. His commitment to the Club and his unwavering support for his son’s Lee and Wayne as juniors through to their participation as leading players in our seniors sides during a difficult time in our Club’s history helped lay the foundation for our subsequent success.
Ralph’s outstanding service as an administrator and as an involved parent were recognized at our Centenary Celebrations in 2014.
Our deepest sympathy to his wife Joan, their son’s Lee and Wayne and their daughter Trudi and their families.
